What is Anime@Large?

Anime@Large is an anime and cosplay club run in Halifax, Nova Scotia with events within the municipality and its surrounding areas. Though Anime is our focus, we also run semi annual gaming events/tournaments, hold group gatherings at movies of interest, have monthly meetings and a yearly picnic. Cosplay is also a large part of what we do, and is welcome at all of our events. There's always something new going on! Learn more...

Fullmetal Alchemist: The Sacred Star of Milos comes to Halifax!

OMG OMG OMG OMG *deep breath* ooh mmmmmm G… alright…. here we go.

You see this? DO YOU SEE THIS?!!?! I hope so cause this website doesn’t come in braille! FMA The Sacred Star of Milos is coming to Halifax! (and other parts of Canada which have been deemed cool enough). Empire doesn’t have tickets on sale yet so we can’t buy them right now but as soon as they do I WILL LET YOU KNOW!  Click here to go to Empire’s website and buy tickets for halifax! Just an FYI Most people seam to be going Saturday ;)

Casual Gamers Night III

We’ve officially gone monthly!

After the massive success of the second Casual Gamers Night we have decided to make this a monthly event at the Gamestore.

For those who don’t know how this works or simply would like a refresher, once a month we hit up the Last Gamestore after closing starting at 7pm and hook up all different kinds of systems. This allows us to have a varied playlist, everything from the Atari to the Xbox 360 and we’ve always got a few bonus surprises up our sleeves as well. These events are not to be missed as they feature the most diverse playlist of games you’ll ever see in a public event.

Come and meet acclaimed illustrator Cameron Stewart, fresh off his stint on BATMAN AND ROBIN! The artist, best known for his work on DC’s CATWOMAN and SEVEN SOLDIERS: MANHATTAN GUARDIAN, Vertigo’s SEAGUY and THE OTHER SIDE, and his own creator-owned (with Ray Fawkes), Oni-published APOCALIPSTIX, will be appearing at the Halifax location of Strange Adventures on the afternoon of Saturday, March 20 from 2 to 5 PM. So come on down and say hello!
