Due to a scheduling conflict, our Laser Tag Thursday had to be changed to Monday for the month of February..

Soooooooooooooooooooo, Welcome everybody! We are at it again….more laser tag fun for all our friends. Come and join Nelson and the rest of the Hal-Con gang for a night of fun!!!!

February 25 Cosplay Meet-up

We’ve stopped doing “Photoshoots” because people aren’t really having very much fun anymore. We now do Monthly Cosplay Meetups where we go places in costumes and hang out!

Pictures are always welcome and submissions to the calendar are open all year long. For the last year we have been accepting submissions taken not during our photoshoots. Now that those shoots no longer exist we are depending on you guys to go out into the world and show us your stuff!

The location for our February meet is either going to be swimming or bowling somewhere in the HRM. Updates when more information is available.

Date: February 25
Time: 1:30 PM – 4:00 PM
Place: Halifax Shopping Center Fair Lanes

We have three lanes, 15 people can play and it’s going to cost each person $4 for an hour. If your group wants to play another hour after that it’ll be four more dollars or if you wanna pay for two hours right away that’s fine to.

The shoe rentals are free because we’re in a group (usually like $7)

If less people play it means it’s more expensive for those of us who do, so if you just wanna come hang out and not play it would be really nice of you to give us $4 anyway.

If more people show up I’ll ask about more lanes but for our group right now it’s basically $20 a lane per hour, five ish people per lane.

(I believe there is an arcade, but it may be horrible/not there anymore)

This month’s theme: Anime Relationships – character groupings that correspond with existing relationships within series, fan-pairings, love triangles, harems/reverse-harems, etc. (theme is suggestive not mandatory)

Please join us at Boston Pizza Granville Market for a Celebrity Server Fundraiser in Support of HAL-CON 2012

WHERE: BOSTON PIZZA GRANVILLE MARKET
WHEN: FEBRUARY 19, 2012
TIME: 5:00 P.M. TO 8:00 P.M.

Hal-Con 2012 invites all of our friends, families and fans to come on over to Boston Pizza Granville Market to share in a fun filled evening with Nelson and his Hal-Con friends!!!

We offer great food, amazing costumed friends and unforgettable times!!!! Nelson will be on hand to meet and greet fans and if you ask nicely, he will even take a picture with you!!!!

When you purchase any food or beverage item from the menu on February 19, 2012 between 5:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. a percentage of every sale will go towards our fundraiser.

A portion of the proceeds will be added to the total from the Hal-Con 2012 auction which is to be donated to Child’s Play. The remainder will be used to help make Hal-Con a bigger and better event for our fans.

Thank you so much for your interest and we will look forward to seeing you, your friends, family and next door neighbours there!!!! Tell everyone….the more the merrier!!!! Otherwise, we may put a bounty on your head and send Boba Fett and his Mandalorians out after you!!!!

We figured the novelty of meeting up with your friends so you could shut up and watch anime has warn off in two years so we’re mixing it up! WHOA so crazy!

From 7pm-8pm We’ll play games and Chill. If you have a board game or video game you’d like to bring please contact us via Staff@animeatlarge.com

The anime viewing will start at around 8 PM and go to about 9:30 PM. Still in time to go to bed for school the next day, but just long enough to fit some awesome anime sweetness in there. AWww yeah.
