From the same dedicated staff and volunteers who’ve held Animaritime since 2004, comes Animinitime: two one-day events with the purpose of continuing to bring the best of anime and gaming to the Maritimes. A family friendly event with lots to do and see, we strive to make sure there’s something for every fan, new and old. We hope to see you there in 2010!

Animinitime 2010’s Moncton location is at the Delta Beausejour hotel. A part of Moncton’s steadily growing skyline, Delta Beausejour is located in downtown Moncton, the geographic centre of the Maritimes. The Delta Beausejour has 310 guestrooms and suites available in a choice of bed configuration and amenities that will suit the needs of every guest. For more information visit their website.

Animinitime 2011 has a reserved room block of 25 Standard Class rooms. In order to reserve a room, please call in your reservation saying that you wish to be included in the Animinitime room block. Failure to note that you are staying for Animinitime may result in improper room placement or notification that there are no rooms available that weekend. Cots are available on a first come first serve basis.

Room rates for Animinitime 2010 are:
One to four people: $149 + tax (per night)

These rates will only be given to those who reserve mentioning Animinitime.

This will be our first meeting of what is (for most of you) officially summer! So instead of watching Anime we’re gonna do something a little more social, play video games!

I am taking requests for what games we would like to play, if no one makes requests then you will all be subject to whatever I come up with! haha! I know that’s not exactly threatening but seriously Requests are awesome

Snacks for sharing are always welcome, cupcakes are the official Anime@Large meeting food of choice but other stuff is welcome too Nuts though, Nuts are NOT welcome. So nothing with nuts in it please.

It’s Moncton’s 5TH ANNUAL PICNICON!

Picnicon is an annual cosplay picnic and this year, we’re teaming up with Animinitime, the Maritimes’ 1-day anime and gaming convention, to bring you two fantastic days of convention atmosphere.

This year, Picnicon will be giving some added perks to those who pre-registered for Animinitime. Details to follow.

Rules

1. Absolutely no weapons! This includes false weapons. No exceptions. You cannot have replica swords, made of wood or otherwise, or replica guns, even plastic ones. The reasoning for this is that we are in a public park where anyone is welcome. We do NOT want to scare off regulars to the park, or people who are just trying to take a walk!

2. Keep faces uncovered! If your costume includes a mask, feel free to put it on ONLY for photo ops. Anything other than photo ops requires your face to be uncovered. Again, we are going to be in a public park.

3. Ask before you glomp! Since this is a cosplay picnic, I’m sure you’re aware that there will be people who put a whole lot of amazing effort into thieir costumes. Please ask before you glomp someone, or you may accidentally ruin an amazing costume!

4. Please label all food! This is due to potential allergies. We’ve had attendees in the past with severe allergies to various foods. Pre-labeled food, such as a bag of chips or a box of cookies, will not need to be labeled. If you bake a cake, however, please list the ingredients on the object you’re bringing it in. This is to prevent any of out attendees getting ill!

5. Responsibility is yours! Neither Picnicon nor the City of Moncton accepts responsibility if you are injured nor for lost or stolen items at Picnicon. It is your responsibility to keep an eye on your own items and for your own well-being. If you are attending Picnicon, you are accepting this rule!

6. No harassment! Picnicon has a ZERO TOLERANCE harassment policy. If you are found to be harassing another attendee then you can expect to be escorted from the premises. Absolutely no exceptions. If you find you are being harassed, please contact Picnicon staff immediately and the situation will be swiftly dealt with. THIS ALSO INCLUDES NON-ATTENDEES. Please do not harass the civilians. We are using the park with the permission of the city and we absolutely CANNOT abuse this privilege. Please don’t make Picnicon or the cosplay community look bad. We want to educate people, not scare them.

Also, please bring some food for yourself and, if you have the money or inclination, please bring some to share as well!

Geeks vs Nerds Episode 6 is ready to hit the city with awesome nerdy debates that you cannot miss! this show is HILARIOUS but to all you under 18’s out there to bad so sad. This event is held in a bar which means 18+ only come hang out with the cool kids when you’re older.

July 5 is a dangerous time to be at joker’s comedy club. For one night only, the Joker and Hannibal Lecter have been paroled to find out once and for all who is the Craziest Psychopath.

If that weren’t enough, Sarah Connor (terminator) and Ellen Ripley (Alien) will go head to head for the title of Ultimate survivor.

Come on out! The show starts at 8 pm doors open at 7pm. Be early, it fills up fast!
