This years “Super picnic” is brought to you entirely by Anime@Large, a fast growing Anime fan group based here in Halifax! It’s also an extra special event because it’s our official one year anniversary (which means I’m gonna bring a big cake lol). Those of you who went last year will see the return of my the bubble gun, as well as help me test out my new bubble machine! It says it will make bubbles up to 30 feet in the air! So exciting! XD

Date: Sunday August 16th 2009!

Time: 1pm-6pm or whenever we feel like going home.

Location: Point Pleasant Park, Halifax, NS (it’s a very large park, so I’ll also be posting a map to show where the picnic will be taking place).

Events:

Cosplay competition – A walk on walk off fashion show and workmanship contest.

Skit contest – Impersonations, alternate worlds, improv and talent! Open for groups and Solo performances.

Test your Knowledge – A free for all anime quiz, how much do you think you know about the shows you love? WIN with every correct answer!

Three Legged race – Open only to cosplayers ( you ain’t seen nothing till you’ve seen this XD).

Normally we have large amounts of support from Gold Dragon Hobbies and Comics, but sadly he had to close early in the year. So right now we have confirmation on Morrigan LeFay’s Mystical Gifts, and I`m working on getting a few of the other local costume or comic shops on board.
