Anime@Large’s Super Picnic

Super Picnic – an anime and cosplay event to welcome in Spring and have tons of fun hanging out with fellow fans from around the Maritimes. Bring some lunch, bring some food to share, bring your friends and prepare for some good times! Hang out on the play equipment, laze on the grass with some good conversation or join fellow cosplayers in the Pavilion for Animinitime’s masquerade – it’s the perfect pre-con event!

Events
12:00pm Registration for masquerade, music, snacks, good times and prize give aways.
2:00pm Walk on walk off photo Shoot and costume contest
2:30pm Three Legged Race of epic proportions
3:30 pm Skit contest

Costs
(FREE!) Picnics are for everyone, no door charge.

We will also be selling Pocky, Pretz and some other fun Japanese goodies.
Masquerade

This 2010, Animinitime will be holding it’s masquerade at the pre-con picnics! Come out to the Commons on Saturday to enter your cosplay, preform a skit and to check out others’ amazing entries.

Registration for Competition: 12:00pm-1:00pm
To be in the Masquerade competition you must check in/register between 12-1 you can e-mail me (Marsha) to let me know you are coming -insert address here- but if you do not check in before 1pm we cannot guaranty you’ll get into the competition. Time is limited so slots are limited. Please bring THIS FORM filled out to make the process faster.

Other Stuff You Should Know:
If you’re bringing music, or require music for your skit, e-mail the picnic coordinator so we can work out how to have it prepared for you. The masquerade space will not require you to do pre-voice recordings for any skits.

Proper footwear is required AT ALL TIMES
No bladed or projectile weapons of any kind

Title: EVA Movie party
Location: Empire Theatre Bayers Lake
Description: Due to overwhelming response from you lovely people (26 oh god please yes\’s and rising! ) the EVA party is 100% go! We\’re having a get together at the theatre from 7pm till 9:30 pm the Sunday before the movie comes out.

Date: Sunday the 27th
Time: 7pm – 9:30 pm
Location: Empire Theatre Bayers Lake Party rooms (up stairs)

Pizza will be Provided and free
Drinks will cost $1 which is being donated to charity

If you want to help out and bring chips or candy that\’s lovely (please do) but absolutely NO peanuts or things which contain peanuts. Hospitals aren\’t fun for anyone even though they tend to give out Popsicles.

There will be a costume contest with bonus points going to anyone in EVA costumes, Anime Trivia (with some questions being about EVA) and Video games which will probably have nothing to do with EVA but will still be awesome.

We may also have the return of DJ Yvette, or at the very least DJ Yvette\’s extensive J-Music collection lol.

Description: Hey this an Anime@Large Summer Party.

We are having a Cosplay Catwalk – Dress as your fave character and enter the catwalk contest, you might win a prize.

There will also be a Gaming Tournament of Smash Bros.Brawl of course prizes for that. Registration for tournament will start at 2pm and end at 3:30, Tournament will start at 4pm. To save on time if you can write on the wall saying you want to particpate in the Tourny we will write your name down. Just remember you still have to pay the $10 at the door ;p

To end this lovely event we are going to watch 1 anime movie, but it\’s a secret.

Admission is $10

We will try to provide snacks but feel free to brings snacks for yourself or for sharing. So hope to see you out there for some Anime@Large Fun (^_^)

That’s right here it comes! Street fighter The Legend of Chung Lee hits Bayers Lake Friday the 27th THIS FRIDAY! We’re having a tournament in the the party rooms upstairs and the top four get to duke it out on the big screen!

There are spots for 16 competitors, registration opens at 4:00 at the guest services Desk in the Lobby and the Tournament starts at 5:00 (or when registration fills up) We’ll be all wrapped up and in the theatre by 7pm for the final three rounds so we can watch the movie at 7:20.

All you need to register is a Ticket to the 7:20 show!

Make a poster for Game day, Win free admission to any two of our events!

So, because you’re all so talented I’ve decided to do a little contest. The winner gets free admission to any two of my events. This includes movie events, gaming events, photo shoots and the like.

I need an informational poster for Game Day, so I can send it to all the stores and cover the city in it because you know that’s what I do. Please put some real work into it, I will not accept cool pictures you didn’t change at all as submissions.

You can enter as many times as you want between now and the 19th of December.You need to fill a whole piece of printer paper with your design, that’s 8 X 10, and send your entries as a link to me . I will put the text onto the poster so you don’t need to worry about placement of wording. Just keep in mind that that it needs to be functional as well as pretty.

Here are some materials you can use, feel free to re-draw them yourself or use the ones I’ve provided.

If you want to draw and color the whole thing from scratch that’s awesome, if you’re more of a picture altering kinda kid then feel free to do that as well.

—Though if you are not using your own original work I will need you to send me a link (or links) to what you did use as well as your finished piece. Keep in mind that stealing someone’s hard work is not cool so don’t steal! ——-
