Bring your own lunch (and if you like food for sharing) we will not be feeding you! We are poor and cannot afford to NO NUTS!

Park Rules – Don`t make a mess, No loud music!

Come in costume! or don’t! whatever works for you.

Bring something to sit on, picnic tables are few and far between.

Real weapons, live blades, sharp wood, weighted objects or anything with projectiles (arrows, bullets, nerf, water) or misuse of prop weapons will NOT be tolerated. If you have any questions about weapons contact me!

Do not put yourself in a dangerous situation. Example: climbing trees, jumping off picnic tables, fight scenes ect We are not responsible for any injury caused by acts of stupid (or any other injury’s)

If you have food allergies it is your responsibility to insure you do not ingest anything which may cause you to die. We are not responsible for what you stick in your face or what happens to you when you do it.

That’s right Halifax’s super picnic is coming to you for the second time this year! We rocked the Halifax commons in April with over 150 people. We’re going to be rolling out at a different location this time, but here’s what we do know at this moment!

Shoot #7: Dartmouth Harbourview Walkway

So here’s how we do this thing. Every month we meet at a different location within the HRM. You can come dressed in cosplay or not, or you can come with a camera or not, it’s your choosing. Once there, those with cameras take pictures of those in cosplay and afterwards, they post them on Facebook. Once there, the pictures can be voted on. What for you may ask? We’re doing a group calendar for 2011, w00t! Sound like fun?

Sometime probably late December 2010 we will be putting out the Calendar to be ready for the new year Awesome huh?

Location this month: DARTMOUTH HARBOURVIEW WALKWAY. We’re meeting near the main entrance of the NSCC Waterfront Campus, then making our way down to the trail which is down the hill on the other side of the campus facing the harbour. For those traveling by bus, just like last month, take the #60 from the Bridge Terminal, only this time get off on Pleasant Street at the stop for the campus (which you’ll see on your right).

If you think you might be late, we’ll be waiting at the meeting place from 1:00 PM until 1:45 PM before we start the shoot. If you’ll be later than that, please contact Marsha or Trevor so we can give your our phone number and so you don’t get lost.

This event is open for everyone, cosplayers and photo takers or just the regular joe who wants to exist near awesomely cool people Make sure you come out! the most important thing is to have fun!

RULES:

- Be Prepared for the weather: Umbrella, Jacket, winter coats whatever applies.

- You must always have appropriate footwear! For the weather and the location. You can change out of it for photo’s bring it with you!

- No dangerous or inappropriate poses; keep your cosplay PG and do not hang from Trees.

- Weapons must be replicas made of wood, fiberglass, foam or other non-dangerous material(s). Do not misuse replica weapons or bring real weapons. NO weapons with projectiles of any kind.

- All Pictures for the Calendar Must be Uploaded to the Anime@Large Group Gallery. (Everyone is welcome to take and upload pictures).

- We will only include pictures uploaded between July 25, 4:30 pm and August 5, 11:59 PM in the voting process for July’s Calendar page.

-Only Landscape (wide not tall) style pictures will qualify.

This will be our first meeting of what is (for most of you) officially summer! So instead of watching Anime we’re gonna do something a little more social, play video games!

I am taking requests for what games we would like to play, if no one makes requests then you will all be subject to whatever I come up with! haha! I know that’s not exactly threatening but seriously Requests are awesome

Snacks for sharing are always welcome, cupcakes are the official Anime@Large meeting food of choice but other stuff is welcome too Nuts though, Nuts are NOT welcome. So nothing with nuts in it please.

Shoot #6 part 2! MacCormick's Beach Provincial Park

So we're getting together again for some more photo shooting goodness. The Last Saturday of every month we're having a Photo shoot, then we'll vote on the pictures from that shoot to see which one we want to put in the Calendar next year! However, for this month we are going to have two shoots due to the fact that there is the Hal Con cosplay video shoot on the 26th (http://www.facebook.com/?ref=mb&sk=messages#!/event.php?eid=123119441036079&ref=nf). Therefore the second shoot will be on the following Sunday; June 27.

So sometime probably early in January of 2011 we will be putting out an Anime@Large Calendar how cool is that?

Location this month: We’re meeting at MacCormick’s Beach Provincial Park, which is past McNab’s Island and near Eastern Passage, at around 1:00 PM. If you’re traveling by bus, take #60 from Bridge Terminal towards Eastern Passage; the stop is along Shore Road, past Boon Dock’s Dining Room and Lounge. Since we’ll be by the ocean, it will likely have a cool wind blowing, so be sure to dress appropriately over top of your cosplay.
